Hi..
Using a W7 PC with GalilSuite when I try to watch (using the viewer) positions errors and so on all stay static... Seems to me really strange. (also all the input/outputs are red)
If I use the viewer of GalilTools, installed on the same PC all work fine. I can see the I/O correctly, all the positions and so on.
But if I use Galiltools and I set TR1.... Don't work. I mean in the lower side of the terminal, I cant see the thread. that function works only on the Galilsuite.
Any suggestion?

Hello Luca,
With the viewer open, you should at least see Sample Count count up. Do you see this number changing?
What controller model are you using?
What version of GalilSuite are you using?
What interface are you using to connect to the controller (i.e. Ethernet, Serial, etc) ?
The communications port that the TR command will use is determined by the CF command (see link below). MG _CF will give the decimal value of the ASCII letter for the handle (TH) where the unsolicited messages are going. Software will typically redirect the unsolicited message to it's second handle and messages can only go to one handle at a time so messages will typically go to the software package that was last opened.

b) Also the sample number is always zero
c) DMC 4080 s/n 11089 and RIO 47300 s/n 13572
d) with the RIO the viewer in Galil Suite works.
e) Ethernet interface.
f) Galil Tools version 1.6.4.572
Seems a bit strange that in Galil Tools the viewer work and not in Galil Suite. and viceversa for the TR command...
